This is an intervention to prevent driving while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs in young people under 25, on which the Municipality of Trieste, the local police, the Giuliano-Isontina university health company (Asugi), IrccsBurlo Garofalo, Aci and the Prefecture worked together.

The initiative was financed with an allocation of 450 thousand euros from the Department for Anti-Drug Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
The project was divided into a part of an information and discussion campaign with young people, and a part of checks by the police in places where young people gathered.
Among the various prevention activities there was also an intervention by the Department of Addictions of Asugi which made 31 outings to nightlife venues with a camper purchased with allocated funds which made it possible to carry out awareness-raising activities with over 8 thousand young people, distributing 2,480 taxi vouchers.
Also worth mentioning are the innovative ways of communicating risk, such as the use of a driving simulator in a mentally impaired state and peer-education actions.
