Lower Saxony's Justice Minister Kathrin Wahlmann described the arrest of former RAF terrorist Daniela Klette as a "great investigative success".
“If the strong suspicion against the accused is confirmed, her arrest is not only good news for the victims, but also a clear signal to serious criminals across the country:
Hanover - Even years after their actions, they cannot feel safe, but must always expect consistent persecution by our authorities," Wahlmann was quoted as saying in a statement from her ministry on Tuesday.
She very much hopes “that this success will also advance the investigations against the other accused,” said Wahlmann.
The public prosecutor's office in Verden and the Hanover State Criminal Police Office had been searching for the ex-members of the Red Army Faction (RAF), Burkhard Garweg (55), Ernst-Volker Staub (69) and Daniela Klette (65) for decades.
