Last Saturday (February 24th), employees of the Starnberg authorities met in the Christlum ski area in Achenkirch/Tyrol with the best slopes and weather conditions to determine their champions in the giant slalom.
The classic cross-country skiing had to be canceled due to poor cross-country skiing conditions.
Starnberg -
Authority ski champions were Kathrin Futterknecht and Stephan Hinze, both from the Starnberg district office.
“It was a very successful event: great atmosphere, great weather and enthusiastic skiers,” says district administrator Stefan Frey, who also took part in the race himself.
The participants came from the district office, the tax office, the municipality of Gilching, the Munich Starnberg Ebersberg district savings bank, the state school authority and the Montessori association.
The Achenkirch ski club had created a fast and flowing giant slalom course with 36 gates, which all 43 participants coped well with.
In the women's giant slalom, Kathrin Futterknecht won ahead of Barbara Uffelmann (both district office) and Laura Knapp (tax office).
In the men's category, Stephan Hinze (district office) won, followed by Max Tschirpig and Wernher Weigert (both Kreissparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg).
Josefine Uffelmann and Fabian Futterknecht led the guest rankings.
This year, the district office secured the team cup in the giant slalom with a clear lead over the tax office and the municipality of Gilching.
As patron of the championships, District Administrator Stefan Frey did not miss the opportunity to take part in the giant slalom himself and was pleased with the successes of his employees at the award ceremony in the restaurant of the Achenkirch campsite.
