A man had to be resuscitated at Munich Central Station.
The quick reaction of the emergency services probably saved his life.
Munich - The 3-S headquarters of Deutsche Bahn reported around 10 a.m. on Monday (February 26) that a person was lying motionless on the ground on platform 26.
The federal police responded immediately, grabbed the first aid backpack and rushed to the man.
They put him in a stable side position, set up a privacy screen and arranged for the track to be closed on railway track 25/26.
These measures served both to carry out the rescue measures and to protect the man's personal rights.
Drama on the railway track: Federal police officer saves 57-year-old's life
When the man turned blue and could no longer feel a pulse, a 29-year-old federal police officer began resuscitation with chest compressions.
After the paramedics arrived, they took over further treatment.
In the ambulance the man began to recover independently.
The 57-year-old Austrian, who lives in the Miesbach district, was admitted to a Munich hospital.
Around noon, officers received word that the man's condition was stable.
The track closure was lifted around 15 minutes after the rescue measures were completed.
