They were injured in the process.
Peißenberg - An operation that the police officers will probably not soon forget occurred on Monday afternoon in Peißenberg when a seemingly helpless man became a danger to himself and the police.
According to the police, a 56-year-old resident reported to the Weilheim police station around 3 p.m. a person who was apparently in distress and who he discovered lying behind a bush on Max-Plank-Straße.
Peißenberg: Police operation because of a helpless person turns into violence - drunk man injures officers
The officers who were called found a 46-year-old Ukrainian citizen who was uninjured but heavily intoxicated.
The decision to take the man to his accommodation then led to a violent incident.
Although the man initially appeared to have no health problems, he repeatedly pointed to his heart, suggesting he may have been feeling unwell.
The situation escalated when the man, who seemed to need support, suddenly became aggressive.
When the officers leaned towards him to understand him better, he suddenly hit one of his crutches in the direction of the officers and tried to get up.
The police had to take him to the ground to prevent further attacks.
Nevertheless, the Ukrainian managed to punch one officer in the face and elbow another in the stomach.
One of the police officers suffered a foot injury during the altercation.

After no medical treatment was necessary, but due to his continued aggressiveness, the man was taken into custody.
Even on the way to the sobering-up cell in the Weilheim inspection station, he remained aggressive and spat in the face of one of the officers, which led to blood tests on both of them due to a possible TB disease.
The man massively insulted the officers throughout the operation and will now have to answer for other offenses in addition to resisting law enforcement officers and bodily harm.
The officers involved escaped with minor injuries and remained fit for duty.
This incident highlights the unpredictable challenges police officers can face in their everyday lives.
