"Decarbonizing is a complex but necessary path. However, it must not be a traumatic step, which leaves behind new problems instead of solutions. This is why we have defined the Pniec (the national energy plan, ed.) as a 'realistic' Pniec, sustainable for the economic and social system. We have updated it with a concrete and technologically neutral approach".
This was said by the Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto, speaking with a video message at a conference on Pniec in the Chamber.
"Italy confirms its effort on the climate and energy security - added Pichetto -, in line with the commitments we have undertaken at European and global level. But we do so taking into account the need to reconcile the different proposals, find the point of equilibrium".
