For the first time in the Ukraine war, a valuable M-1 Abrams main battle tank from the USA is said to have been destroyed.
Moscow is making a clear announcement.
Kiev - Russia has apparently destroyed an Abrams tank delivered from the USA for the first time since the invasion of Ukraine.
Several Russian pro-war bloggers posted a video on social media on Monday purporting to show the successful attack on the tank.
The information could not be independently verified.
Kiev also initially did not comment on such a loss.

reports, the Ukrainian authorities reported the use of such a device in the war against Russia for the first time a few days ago.
Some military experts consider the Abrams M-1 tank from the USA to be one of the best tanks in the world.
Ukraine will have received a total of 31 of the battle tanks by October 2023.
“Our soldiers said from the beginning that these tanks would burn just like others,” state news agency RIA quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying on Monday.

The video of the destroyed tank spread like wildfire on social media on Monday.
According to military bloggers, a unit of the 15th Motorized Rifle Brigade from Samara carried out the attack.
First of all, the video shows how a “kamikaze drone” successfully targets the battle tank and follows it along its path.
In a second clip, another aerial view can be seen, this time of a destroyed tank surrounded by thick clouds of smoke.
The quality of the video is very poor, which is why the vehicle cannot be clearly seen.
It was not known exactly where the miracle weapon from the USA was found in Ukraine.

A military observer from OSINTtechnical also published a photo of the burning tank on the news platform X, with a reference to a Russian Telegram channel.
He noted that the protective panels on the damaged M1 main battle tank were extended.
This suggests that the Ukrainian crew probably survived the attack.
He described the tank as “damaged/destroyed”.
It therefore seems unclear whether the Abram tank was actually destroyed.
If there is damage, repairs could at least be possible.
The use of Abrams tanks in the Ukraine war is viewed ambivalently by military experts.
The tank is actually one of the best battle tanks in the world.
The enormous weight of 61.3 tons doesn't seem particularly suitable for the muddy ground in winter.
The Abram Panzer M-1 also has other disadvantages.
On the other hand, the tank from the USA also has decisive advantages.
