Markus Söder in Sweden - the Prime Minister of Bavaria visited the far north of Europe and diligently shared with his Instagram followers.

Munich / Stockholm – Political, cultural, economic – Markus Söder (CSU)’s three-day trip to Sweden had a bit of everything.

He sang and danced to ABBA on a stage, then was received by Sweden's Queen Silvia.

However, that was by no means all that the Bavarian Prime Minister experienced in northern Europe.

Söder proud of “Bavaria One”: space visit north of the Arctic Circle

A stopover on Söder's journey: the Esrange Space Center in northern Sweden, where satellites are tested and launched.

According to Söder, the Bavarian space companies Rocket Factory Augsburg and Isaraerospace are active there.

During a visit to the two companies at the Esrange Space Center, he was allowed to christen a rocket - in a photo you can see that he called it "Bavaria 1", after the Free State's space program that he initiated.

Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder traveled through Sweden for three days.

He got to know people and culture, strengthened political ties and visited Bavarian space companies.

In the accompanying Instagram post, Söder referred to the success story of the program: “Our Bavaria One space program, which was initially ridiculed, is an international success story.

Bavaria is the Space Valley of Germany.

550 companies and 65,000 employees work in aerospace in the Free State.

We are also building Europe's largest faculty for aerospace at the Technical University of Munich.

With the Bavarian High-Tech Agenda, we are investing a total of over five billion euros in research and science.

This is recognized worldwide.”

A highlight of the Söder trip: ride on the dog sled

Undoubtedly a highlight of the trip for the Bavarian Prime Minister was the dog sled ride.

He posted photos and a video of the experience on Instagram and wrote: “A unique experience: a dog sled ride with twelve dogs through the polar snow.

It was very nice to glide so calmly through the Swedish landscape.”

The Prime Minister's trip to Sweden is largely well received by his Instagram followers.

Many users praise Söder's appearance and enjoy how many of his experiences the 57-year-old shared with his community.

Söder's clothing also sparked enthusiasm - numerous users asked where they could get the blue jacket and the cap - both decorated with the very present Bavaria coat of arms.

Is Söder's next raffle coming up, like he did with his Hawaiian shirt and his Christmas sweaters?
