A woman who tries to harm her partner.
This scenario is quite rare.
Statistics on murders or violence between spouses show that in 20% of cases it is women who are the murderers or aggressors.
But they are also victims.
All had already suffered violence from their companion.
This Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in Saint-Ouen avenue Jean-Jaurès, a young woman took action.
She stabbed her 43-year-old companion three times.
When the police arrived on the scene, they discovered a sight that resembled “a crime scene”.
“There was blood everywhere,” says a source close to the case.
Objects had been knocked over.
So many signs of fierce struggle, where each had dealt blows to the other.
The woman had “bruises all over her body”.
But it was she who inflicted the most serious injuries.
The couple was alone when the argument broke out.
Both reportedly explained that they had come from a party, that they were drunk and had consumed cocaine.
The man was taken to hospital to be stitched up.
He joined his partner in police custody.
The investigation was entrusted to the Saint-Ouen police station.
It is currently unknown whether complaints had been filed, or if, at a minimum, reports of domestic violence had been made.
In any case, the young woman would have indicated that she had already suffered violence.
It is too early to establish whether there was an intention to kill on her part or whether she struck the man only in self-defense.
