Asked if the wind was changing, Schelin replied "Yes, the wind is changing, and some people didn't even bet that we would get this far".
Schlein was speaking alongside M5S leader and former prime minister Giuseppe Conte at the electoral headquarters in Cagliari with many PD AND M5S local leaders.
"I am very excited because, as Alessandra says, what is looming, we are confidently waiting for the latest data, is a victory of the Sardinians first and foremost," said Schlein, the PD's first female leader, of what would be Sardinia's first woman governor. .
