Forte Sant'Andrea and the CasaMadonna of Nicopeja in Venice, the former Perotti barracks in Bologna and the former house of the Fascio of Settecamini in Rome.
These are the sites with which the State Property Agency participates in 'Reinventing Cities', the international sustainable architecture and urban design competition of C40, the global network of mayors united in the fight against the climate crisis.
Furthermore, the Agency supports the Municipality of Milan for the candidacy of the former school in Via Zama and the Municipality of Palermo for the candidacy of the former ChimicaArenella.
Notices of expression of interest for state-owned sites in Venice, Bologna and Rome are being published.
National and international operators are invited to present innovative and sustainable design solutions that regenerate the sites.
"Interested parties - we read in a note - have until 11 July to present the design concept. These are disused properties that cannot be used for institutional purposes, differing in size, architectural type and territorial context".
"We hope that our participation in Reinventing cities will attract the interest of national and international investors.
The sustainable redevelopment of the State's real estate assets is an opportunity to create economic, environmental, social and cultural value", underlined the director of the State Property Agency, Alessandra dal Verme, at the event "ReinventingCities: the State Property Agency and the sustainable regeneration of public real estate".
"The synergy with the private sector - he added - certainly contributes to regenerating disused public assets, even complex ones, to enhancing the impacts of local urban development plans, to restoring beauty to the territories, making our cities more inclusive and sustainable for present and future generations".
