On Wednesday it's that time again: When the strong beer tasting and the political derblecken take place on the Nockherberg on February 28th, an audience of millions will be sitting in front of the television.

The Tölz actor Stefan Murr once again portrays Hubert Aiwanger.

Bad Tölz – Stefan Murr has been at the Nockherberg for 16 years and is therefore the longest-serving performer.

This year, as in 2023, he embodies the Free Voters leader Hubert Aiwanger.

To do this, he analyzed the politician's appearance and manner of speaking in videos.

“The leaflet affair hasn’t changed his demeanor,” Murr compares the politician to previous years.

In 2013, Murr portrayed Aiwanger for the first time at the Nockherberg. But since then, the actor says, he has become “broader-shouldered and more self-confident, and I would say also more blustering.”

Aiwanger's language, however, remained the same.

“He wants to be perceived through his dialect in the style of: 'I'm from the country, I'm one of you,'” analyzes Murr, who was recently awarded the district's art prize.

He likes to portray people with a dialect because that results in even more typification, says the Tölzer with a view to his other roles at Nockherberg: “Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg spoke very polished, and Pronold had an s-error.

But the most difficult thing was to portray Dobrindt because he didn’t speak polished High German or really Bavarian.”

TV

The Lenten sermon and the Singspiel on the Nockherberg will be broadcast by Bavarian Television on Wednesday, February 28th at 7 p.m.

Today is a dress rehearsal

The intensive rehearsal phase began on Sunday and the dress rehearsal is on Tuesday.

Murr is not allowed to reveal anything about the content.

But he can reveal a little something.

Due to political developments in Germany, the Nockherberg will take place “under different circumstances” this time, said Murr.

“There are also topics that hurt.

It's not always just funny.” As Aiwanger, he had some “very concise, important appearances”.

He will sing alone twice.

Even though he is an old hand on this stage, he is already excited, admits Murr.

The special thing about the Nockherberg is that everything has to be exactly right and there is only this one performance.

“That’s the appeal of it for me.”

Bald mask is like “a glued-on bathing cap”

He spends around two hours in the mask until he looks Aiwanger-like.

The most complex part is the hair: gluing the bald part, coloring it and then sticking the hairpiece on top.

“The whole thing feels like a bathing cap stuck on.

“You sweat a lot,” admits Murr with a smile.

New to the ensemble this year are Judith Toth as the actress playing Agriculture Minister Michaela Kaniber and Natalie Hünig.

Her figure is not yet publicly revealed.

“Hünig was supposed to play SPD leader Saskia Esken in 2020, but unfortunately this piece had to be canceled due to Corona,” Murr regrets.

“That was a shame, because it was great.” Incidentally, Murr doesn’t yet know what Maxi Schafroth will say in his Lenten sermon: “We don’t get that from the ensemble during our rehearsals.”
