During the fourth edition of the Medifé Filba Foundation Award, of more than 200 publications evaluated, 10 were finalists in the first instance and five in the next.

María Moreno

Betina González

and

Federico Falco

chose the novel

The Eye of Goliath

by

Diego Muzzio

, published by the Entropía publishing house, as the winning title of the 2023 edition.

Now, until April 9, the application period for the

Medifé Filba Foundation Award

will be open , which distinguishes

Argentine novels

published in the previous year (between January and December 2023).

In this new edition, the award continues

with

great effort, committed to its mission of giving visibility to the best works of local writers, collaborating with their circulation and supporting not only the chosen novels, but also the

publishers that bet

by them.

The call says: "In difficult times for the publishing industry, Fundación Medifé and Fundación Filba come together to sustain this distinction, convinced of the importance of contemporary Argentine literature in the formation of a community and as a central part of the construction of identity national".

And he adds: "

Imagining new possible worlds through words becomes today, more than ever, a vital necessity."

who, from the list of 10 finalist titles, will select the five works from the short list and finally award the prize to the winning novel to be announced in

To participate, you must complete the form found on the

Medifé Foundation website

and submit

three (3) copies of each applicant novel

, by an Argentine author, published between January 1 and December 31. of 2023 by one of the following means:

  • Physical delivery address or by certified mail: Fundación Medifé, Ayacucho 1945 (Postal Code 1112), City of Buenos Aires, from Monday to Friday (except holidays) between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

  • Delivery address for e-books or PDF: prize@filba.org.ar

In

July

the “long list” will be announced with a first selection of ten chosen novels.

In

October

the “short list” will be announced and in November, the winning title.

The author of the winning novel will receive

$3,500,000 (Argentine pesos).
