The local authority elections are taking place today (Tuesday) and with quite a few interesting focal points, there is also a female battle in the small council in the south.
In Yeruham, the incumbent head of the council Tal Ohana will run for another term and she will be faced by the person who also ran against her in the previous elections, Nili Aharon, who has the support of the Likud.

Ilan Almakais, who ran in the previous elections in which Ohana won, will also try his luck again.
Even before the war, there was an attempt at a union between Almakais and Ohana, so she said that an agreement had been reached between her and him, under which Almakais would be placed in second place.
Almakais denied that there was such a summary.
Political parties in Yoruham believe that there may not be a decision in the first round, but the contestants will reach a second round.
South of there, in Eilat, almost 55,000 eligible voters will be able to vote for the mayor of the tourist city, which has also recently faced security threats from the south.
Sources familiar with the matter believe that the turnout in the city, which hosted most of the evacuees from the war, will not be particularly high.
