At the colorful evening in Altenerding, tower talk and sketches in the packed parish hall caused a lot of laughter - on two sold-out evenings.

Altenerding - The Altenerding parish council had planned a tower conversation between the church tower and the parish hall, a big birthday and a Pretzener in heaven for the traditional colorful evening - and was pleased with two sold-out performances at the weekend.

It felt like the whole of Altenerding was represented in the parish hall, was charmingly entertained by the altar boys and, in addition to the funny performances on stage, also enjoyed the social gathering.

Under the proven direction of Gerhard Zech, the 75th birthday of grandma, played by Barbara Kerger, was celebrated in the parish hall, with various difficulties having to be overcome.

While Luise's grandfather and husband were already heavily into alcohol, Luise tried to show the harmonious family to the expected guests of honor such as the priest and mayor.

Not so easy when the seating arrangement becomes a problem...

“What did I do to deserve this?” asked the landlady, convincingly portrayed by Inge Pitz.

Although she wasn't invited, her good friend Rosa also came by with a birthday cake and swept through the house like a whirlwind - ideally cast with Anna-Lisa Burgmair as a dressed-up feast for the eyes, which grandpa would also like, even though he's "already 77 years old." is old, as he emphasized several times.

Finally the mayor showed up to congratulate the birthday child with a joke.

Pastor Jan-Christoph Vogler immediately received applause for his performance and was continually interrupted during his speech, which the audience was thoroughly amused by.

But the final blow came when the elderly couple, who were actually supposed to move into a retirement home, suddenly decided to go on vacation to Tenerife.

The great performance of all actors was rewarded with long applause.

The church tower and the parish hall then exchanged information about what was happening in the parish.

The church tower (Anna-Lisa Burgmair) was dressed up for its 300th birthday and complained about the switching off of the headlights at night.

“Were these energy-saving measures, or was the city unable to find the light switch due to a lack of staff?” The rectory is not doing so well at the moment (Gerhard Zech).

He is concerned that Pastor Vogler is striving for higher things and might therefore quit.

Does he perhaps want to become the next mayor of Erding?

He was already able to prove at the summer festival in St. Vinzenz that he masters the most important task of a mayor, namely tapping beer.

But the church tower suspected that there were even higher positions, as he had seen red shoe soles on the priest's at Easter... But the parish hall was able to reassure him, because the priest was still too young for the papal office.

The tower and rectory were also concerned about declining church attendance among parishioners.

The brilliant idea: free WiFi in the church could attract young people in particular to church services.

Or even organize a colorful evening in the church?

“It would be nice if the church were as full as the rectory is today,” was the pious wish of the church tower.

There was no boredom during the renovation breaks, quite the opposite, as the visitors used the time to chat and enjoyed the atmosphere.

This was topped off by the program item “No ebbs” with “Münchner im Himmel” by Ludwig Thoma.

Excitement ran high when servant Aloisius died at Erdinger train station and ended up in heaven.

Gerhard Zech literally had the role written for him when he raged against the rejoicing up there.

Although the piece is well known to everyone, you could still burst out laughing as the little angels whizzed around, and when Pastor Vogler entered the stage as Lord God himself - with sacristan Franz Bauer as Peter at his side - the hall went wild.

“Aha – a Pretzener,” he said unctuously and commissioned the rager to bring the divine inspiration to the pastor in Altenerding.

However, he was still waiting for this because Aloysius had taken his regular place at Kreuzeder again and was enjoying the beer there.

The frenetic applause at the end was deserved and went not only to the actors, but also to the helpers behind the stage and in the catering who contributed to this successful evening.
