And to continue:
“we live in a large house to which I am particularly attached, which must be maintained.
We are like all French people, water is increasing, electricity is increasing, fuel is increasing.
Everything is increasing.”
“We're having trouble, we're sticking our tongues out like everyone else,”
declares the wife of the ex-mayor of Levallois, both accused of laundering tax fraud and corruption from 2013.
“Like everyone else, we are struggling. So go do your shopping alone at the supermarket!”
, calls out Isabelle Balkany in front of Jordan de Luxe.
“Ségolène Royal almost caused a diplomatic incident with Spain at Cyril [Hanouna] by saying that their tomatoes were disgusting.
Which is not true, but they are much cheaper than French tomatoes.
»
The presenter then decides to delve into the subject by mentioning possible debts.
“People don't need to be in debt to be struggling, they're just like us.
You just have to have the electricity bill go up even if you turn off everything behind you
,” complains Balkany while the journalist points out that she has a good income.
“Yes but that’s not enough because it’s proportional to the house.
With €4,000, we would live well if we were in a studio but not in a big house.
»
The guest responds in the affirmative when Jordan de Luxe states that she needs at least €5,000 per month.
“I don’t do the additions.
I just see that over the past 7 years the purchasing power of the French has declined considerably and so has ours
,” she concludes.
