Big changes are coming to the Munich “Tatort”: Miroslav Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl say goodbye to their roles as “Tatort” detectives Batic and Leitmayr.

Munich – The fans of the Sunday crime drama have to be very strong now: the ARD “Tatort” is facing a big change.

The cult detectives Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl, 65) and Batic (Miroslav Nemec, 69) will leave the show after 35 years.

Her criminal assistant Kalli Hammermann (Ferdinand Hofer, 30), who is not particularly surprised by his colleagues' TV exit, remains behind.

“Tatort” detectives Batic and Leitmayr will soon no longer be on TV – “era is over”

Soon it will be time to say goodbye: It’s not just the fans who have to cope with the “Tatort” exit of their favorites Batic and Leitmayr – new times are also dawning for fellow actor Ferdinand Hofer.

Hofer played alongside Udo Wachtveitl and Miroslav Nemec for around ten years.

The exit of the two cult detectives from “Tatort” did not come as a surprise to him at all: “Of course it had been in the discussion for a long time and we talked about it again and again.

But of course, an era is coming to an end,” explains Ferdinand Hofer in an interview with

.

He also asserts that Udo Wachtveitl and Miroslav Nemec shaped the ARD show like no other.

These “crime scene” teams have solved the most cases (as of February 2024)

1. Commissioners Batic and Leitmayr (Miro Nemec and Udo Wachtveitl) solved 57 cases.

2. Commissioner Lena Odenthal (Ulrike Folkerts) solved 51 cases.

3. Chief Inspectors Max Ballauf and Freddy Schenk (Klaus J. Behrendt and Dietmar Bär) solved 47 cases.

“Tatort” colleague Ferdinand Hofer is not surprised by the TV shutdown

As the newest addition to “Tatort” Munich, Ferdinand Hofer looks back in amazement at the episodes of his fellow actors: “The two of them started investigating in Munich, when I wasn’t even born yet,” Hofer continued.

But there will probably not be a final farewell to his colleagues.

“We are friends now and there is a great dynamic on set.

We meet like that sometimes - but of course it's a shame that it's coming to an end.

“But that doesn’t mean that we won’t do anything together anymore,” reveals the 30-year-old.
