This loss devastated her.

In March 2023, one of Séverine Deutsch's mares died after several episodes of colic.

The pain is all the greater because this resident of Champ-du-Boult (Calvados), in the Virois countryside, does not understand what could have happened.

The trouble will suddenly thicken 10 days later when Séverine discovers “a third of the dead fish” in the small pond in her garden.

Chance then seems excluded.

She alerts the town hall to ensure that there are no sanitation concerns.

“They told me no, that the rainwater network ran well away from my house.”

The reality will turn out to be different.

“I have proof today that half of the houses in the town are not compliant and the connections of many of them are even at risk for human and animal health!

» she assures.

Before saying: “the village's rainwater and some wastewater flow into my home and in particular into the pond where my animals drank and where I took the water to water my vegetables!

This is an absolute scandal.

As luck would have it, during the same period, I suffered a serious infectious hernia, which resulted in hospitalization.

I am convinced that these polluted waters are also the cause.”

“I became the village witch”

Séverine Deutsch has therefore just filed two complaints, one criminal, the other administrative, especially since the autopsy revealed in the meantime that her mare had died of salmonellosis, a bacteria characteristic of wastewater.

“I’m at the end of my rope,” she explains in tears.

This hidden pollution has turned my life upside down.

I became the village witch who reported things even though I got along well with my neighbors.

» Doubly affected, she who had just set up her permaculture activity and various home workshops, can no longer work.

“I obviously stopped everything on my farm.

I cannot grow poisonous vegetables…” The town hall, for its part, did not respond to our requests.
