Fiverr, the company that is changing the way the world works together, has conducted its second survey on the work preferences of Generation Z.

The survey included 10,000 16-26 year olds, half of them from the United States and the rest from the rest of the world.

The survey was done in collaboration with the research and consulting company Censuswide and was conducted at the end of last January.

The findings of the survey highlight how much layoffs, flexibility and artificial intelligence are significantly changing the way members of Generation Z work and their worldview regarding their careers.

Compared to last year's survey, 3% more participants said they plan to work as freelancers - bringing the number of respondents that way (current or future freelancers) to 70%.

Fiverr's VP of business, Gali Arnon

: "Generation Z, the youngest sector in the workforce today, is required to overcome many hurdles - a global epidemic and unprecedented technological developments.

Now, in the face of waves of layoffs and the assimilation of artificial intelligence in the corporate world, Generation Z employees are choosing to work as freelancers as a way to provide the stability needed to fulfill their career aspirations.

Not only does freelance work offer them a stable path that allows them to be their own bosses or own their own business - it also provides them with complete autonomy over their lives."
