Hours have passed since 9-year-old Haymanut Kasao disappeared from the reception center in Safed.
Haymanut was last seen at the entrance of the reception center on Sunday at 7:30 in the evening and since then "it was as if the earth had swallowed her", according to one of the searchers.
Even at night, the searches continued and the police station that the police set up at the reception center on 9 IDF Street in Safed, operates around the clock.
Heimnot's family immigrated to Israel three years ago, and she is the middle child among five brothers and sisters.
She was last seen yesterday evening playing with her friends at the reception center on Izhal Street, in the southern neighborhoods of Safed.
In the last footage of her being seen, which was filmed on one of Safed's streets, Kasao is seen skipping and laughing alongside two girls and a boy. This was shortly before her tracks were lost, when this She was actually seen for the last time on February 25 at 7:30 p.m. on IDF Street in the city, after which she entered a reception center and her traces disappeared.
Heimnot's mother asked the public to help her look for her daughter.

If Heimnot's absence became known, the searches began and gradually expanded.
The police said that the initial scans were conducted inside the reception center building where there are 80 apartments, on the roof of the building, the elevator shaft and other parts of the building.
The scans also expanded to more remote areas of the city and the surrounding open areas.
So far, hundreds of people have participated in the search, including police officers, the Golan rescue unit, soldiers and volunteers.
The commander of the Northern District, Superintendent Shuki Tachocha, said that "Finding 9-year-old Haymanot Kasao is our most important task, in the Northern District and in the Israel Police. We have been here from the first minute, and we will continue to be here with all the forces and means until we close the circle to find her."

One of the organizations that joined the search for Haymanut is YCL - Israel's canine unit. YCL's trained sniffer dogs are assisting in the search in the area of the city of Safed as well as in the tangled forests nearby.
