Brutal attack in Dietenhausen: An unknown person almost killed a man.
The police are investigating attempted murder.
Dietenhausen – A serious crime occurred in the Odelzhausen district of Dietenhausen on Tuesday evening.
An unknown man attacked a 56-year-old on his doorstep and seriously injured the man.
The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police, under the direction of the Munich II public prosecutor's office, is now investigating suspected attempted murder.
Dietenhauser barely survives the attack
According to previous findings, the Dietenhauser left his house at around 9:50 p.m. to go for a walk.
Immediately after he stepped outside, he was severely physically attacked by a previously unknown person.
The victim's wife and another neighbor, who heard noises, saw an unknown person hit the victim's head several times.
They then called the police and rescue workers via an emergency call.
The victim had to be flown by a rescue helicopter to a Munich hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to doctors, his life is now out of danger.
The unknown perpetrator fled on foot
Immediately after the crime, the unknown man fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The police search measures that were immediately initiated with the support of a police helicopter and police service dog had negative results during the night.
They are currently being continued with a large contingent of emergency services in and around Odelzhausen with further manhunt and search measures, as well as surveys of residents.
The police are investigating attempted murder
The police have not yet been able to gain any information about the reasons for the attack.
According to a spokeswoman for the Upper Bavaria North police headquarters, “the motive is still completely unclear.”
The only thing that is certain is that there is “no evidence of robbery.”

Police are looking for witnesses
The Fürstenfeldbruck police are therefore asking the public for help.
Witnesses who have made suspicious observations that could be connected to the terrible act are asked to contact the police on 0 81 41/61 20.
