Consumer confidence has risen this month but business confidence has declined, Istat said on Wednesday.
The national statistics agency said its consumer confidence index increased from 96.4 to 97.0 in February, continuing a series of rises that began in November and taking the index to its highest level since June 2023.
But Istat's business confidence index IESI (Istat EconomicSentiment Indicator) fell from 97.9 to 97.0 95.8.
The agency stressed that, despite the drop, business confidence remained in line with the average for the last six months.
