A married couple has been missing for over a week.

The police released a photo and are searching with divers.

Initially the investigation is unsuccessful.

Bad Segeberg - Investigations, a public manhunt and yet no trace: In Bad Segeberg, a small town in Schleswig-Holstein, Helga B. (81 years old) and Hanno B. (83 years old) have been missing since February 19th.

Missing person case in Schleswig-Holstein – divers on duty, search operation underway

“A total of six police divers are on site for operations.

The search measures are currently underway,” it said shortly after ten in the morning.

“It is not yet possible to predict when the measures will be discontinued today and depends on the knowledge gained today.”

The police told RTL that a trail led from the parking lot towards the lake was recently confirmed by an operation with service dogs

A suicide cannot be ruled out, but the police are investigating “in all directions”.

Police are looking for missing couple – car has already been found

The couple's car - a gray VW T-Cross with Segeberg license plates - was "found in the Bad Segeberg urban area near the lake over the last week," the police informed

A press release on February 20 said that the couple had left “their usual environment” with this car.

No information could be provided beyond what happened on Wednesday.

Because there is “a new assessment of the situation every day and the investigators decide on how to proceed every day,” the police continued - and were probably describing the usual procedure in a missing person case.

Police publish photo and ask for help – Where are Helga and Hanno B.?

The 81-year-old and her 83-year-old husband were last seen on Sunday, February 18th.

As the police explained in a press release, the couple did not spend the night of Monday in their shared apartment.

Investigators contacted the public on February 20th.

They asked for help and published details about the missing people and a photo.

  • Helga B.: 1.65m tall, slim, gray hair

  • Hanno B.: 1.65m tall, noticeably slim, gray hair

Hanno and Helga B. have been missing since February 19th.

A 13-year-old disappeared - and was found in the forest by rescue dogs.
