Horrific family drama in Vienna: A girl and her mother are dead; the father initially disappeared.
Now he was found lifeless.
Update from February 28th, 12:37 p.m.:
The police confirmed that the suspect from Vienna, Christian R., committed suicide in Slovenia on Saturday (February 24th, 2024).
Because his body, which was found in a forest, had no identification documents, identification took time.
According to the current investigation, businessman Christian R. is accused of strangling his wife and their 13-year-old daughter in the anteroom of their apartment on Erdbergstrasse on Friday after he returned from his morning jog.
Not only is the motive unclear, but also how he came to Slovenia afterwards.

Double murder in Vienna: body of the suspected perpetrator discovered in Slovenia
Update from February 27, 2024, 6:00 p.m.:
After the violent death of a 51-year-old mother and her 13-year-old daughter in Vienna at the weekend, the police have found the suspected perpetrator.
According to Austrian media reports, the suspected 53-year-old father was found dead by the police in a forest in Slovenia on Saturday (February 24th).
Like police spokeswoman
Barbara Gass told

that the Slovenian police found the suspect over the weekend.
However, since he did not have any documents with him, the identification and consequently the report to the police in Vienna took a few days, said Gass.
The police assume suicide.
However, no further information is currently available.

: After an emergency call from a resident, the police officers in Vienna-Erdberg were presented with a terrible picture on Friday (February 23).
