This is in contrast to his opponent, the second candidate running for mayor, Yosef Havilio, who, despite his crushing loss, appears to be leading the large secular faction in Jerusalem, which will include four of its members on the council.
As of this hour, from the counting of the votes, it seems that a majority of 81.5% supported Leon for mayor, while his party received only 18.5%.

Shas has increased its relative strength by considerable percentages and so has the Torah flag. The eyes of the liberal factions are now on the double envelopes of the reservists, which should bring quite a few votes to the general public in the city. The Noam party
is swinging on the blocking percentage, and will probably succeed in getting a representative into the council. Also the Zionist representatives The religious party and Otzma Yehuda, Aryeh King and Hagit Moshe, are in. The Likud manages to put in a single candidate.
