The community of Eching mourns the multifaceted Klemens Seemüller, who died at the age of 75 after a short, serious illness.

Eching – After a short, serious illness, the well-known and popular Eching resident Klemens Seemüller recently died at the age of 75.

With great sympathy from the citizens, especially from fellow firefighters, friends and companions, the former fire department chairman, CSU local councilor and recipient of the Echinger Citizens' Medal was buried and found his final resting place in the cemetery on Danziger Strasse.

The trained precision mechanic took the step into self-employment and built a flourishing horticultural and garden accessories company in Eching.

He specialized in foiling, especially for greenhouses.

18 years on the local council, 42 years active in the volunteer fire department

Klemens Seemüller was an established fixture in community and club life, in which he was always actively involved.

He was not afraid to take on leadership positions and responsibility.

This was also the case at the local political level, where he stood as a local council candidate for the CSU local association in 1990 and from then on held a mandate for the Christian Socials on the council committee for 18 years.

The Eching Volunteer Fire Department, of which he had been a member since he was 19, was particularly close to his heart.

He was active in “his” fire department for 42 years, including 36 years in various management positions: twelve years as deputy chairman, just as long as deputy commander and twelve years as chairman of the fire brigade association.

In 2010 he was appointed honorary member of the FFW Eching.

In 2020, Mayor Sebastian Thaler awarded him the Citizen's Medal for special services due to his diverse work for the general public.

Everyone who knew him a little better characterizes Klemens Seemüller as practical and hands-on, but also friendly, modest, helpful and striving for balance.

He liked being around people and felt comfortable in social circles.

After his mobility decreased with age, you could still occasionally meet him on his e-scooter.

He leaves a painful gap not only in his family, but also in community life and the fire department.
