A kidnapping attempt avoided in Marseille.
This Tuesday, February 27 in the evening, a 15-year-old teenager was the victim of a violent kidnapping in the middle of the street in the 14th arrondissement of the Marseille city before being rescued by a crew from the anti-crime brigade (BAC).
The facts, confirmed to Le
Figaro
by consistent police sources, occurred in the middle of the street around midnight, along Boulevard Louis Villecroze.
A witness living in the area called the police emergency number to explain that he had seen a young man being chased by at least three individuals, before being forcefully driven into a black Ford car.
The victim was visibly calling for help, screaming that they
“wanted to take him away”
.
The victim hit in the face
Warned, a BAC crew patrolling the area then set off in pursuit of the suspect vehicle.
It was finally intercepted with two kidnappers and the victim on board.
According to a police source, the latter had been hit in the face, her eyebrow bone being bloody.
The young man, already known for at least one act of drug trafficking dating back to the summer of 2023 according to this source, was transported to the North hospital to be examined by a doctor.
In Marseille, kidnapping attempts in the context of drug trafficking are not uncommon, with traffickers using this practice to intimidate their rivals and sometimes even members of their own organization.
Last December, a young man aged around twenty was led into a forest by three individuals before being stripped naked, beaten and doused with gasoline.
He had escaped at the last minute from the clutches of his captors, probably involved in drug trafficking.
