It could be a large camp led by the Democratic Party and the 5 Star Movement competing in Umbria for the centre-right region which with the Northern League member Donatella Tesei conquered five years ago what had always been a centre-left fiefdom.
Outgoing governor already indicated by the leader of the League Matteo Salvini as a candidate for reconfirmation.
With the current mayor of Terni Stefano Bandecchi aiming to have his Popular Alternative play the role of third wheel. However, for Umbria the elections are still many months away and the choices are still to be made.
Tesei was elected at the end of October 2019. She conquered Palazzo Donini at the head of a coalition with Lega, Fratelli d'Italia and Forza Italia which is preparing for the next elections with the support of at least part of the civic world.
Sources from the various coalition parties continue to assure that no names have yet been discussed but Tesei's re-nomination appears to be the most probable at the moment.
In addition to Salvini's indication, the president herself has already announced that she too is available for a second mandate to complete the projects started and not yet completed in a legislature marked by the Covid emergency.
In Umbria the centre-right is fresh from the experience of the administrative elections in Terni where Orlando Masselli, FdI, was preferred as candidate to the outgoing mayor Leonardo Latini, of the League, and was defeated in the run-off by Bandecchi.
And the leader of Popular Alternative is the only one to have already indicated his candidate for president for the Region, Riccardo Corridore.
The center-left does not yet have an official name but has already begun to define the coalition.
And this is configured as an even larger field than that of Sardinia.
In fact, the Pd, M5s, Avs, Demos, Civic training for public health and Umbrian civics have already converged in a forward Pact.
As a possible candidate for the leadership of the Region, the name of the current mayor of Assisi Stefania Proietti, an expression of the civic world, present at the meeting to establish a Pact Forward, is insistently circulating.
Before the regional elections, however, Umbria is awaiting another electoral step which could in some way weigh on the choices.
The one for the mayor of Perugia who sees in the field for the centre-right Margherita Scoccia, an exponent of FdI also supported by the civics, and Vittoria Ferdinandi, an expression of the social world who has aggregated Action, More Europe and a part of the socialists to the forces of a Pact after you.
