A story which corresponds exactly to that of its author since at the time, Judith Godrèche, 22 years old, had just left the director Benoît Jacquot, 48 years old.

Nearly 30 years later, in February 2023, the actress spoke again about this book, this time on France Inter.

On February 7, 2024, after years of silence, Judith Godrèche filed a complaint against director Benoît Jacquot for rape of a 15-year-old minor.
The facts date back to the 1980s, when the filmmaker directed the young woman on the set and maintained a romantic relationship with her.
