Due to King Charles' (75) cancer diagnosis, the day of remembrance was postponed from January to the end of February.

But the monarch stayed away from the service.

Instead, King Charles was spotted in front of his London home, Clarence House.

The renewed absence is certainly causing question marks among the European royals and Greek relatives.

King Charles is currently being treated for cancer in London and has not performed any public functions since his diagnosis on February 5th, apart from a meeting with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (43).

Apparently the therapy meant that the king had not even agreed to go to church in honor of the King of the Hellenes in St. George's Chapel.

Prince William also canceled at the last minute for “personal reasons”.

Kensington Palace quickly rushed to reassure the public that the Princess of Wales, 42, remains doing well as she recovers from abdominal surgery.

It cannot be said with certainty at this time whether the sudden death of Thomas Kingston (45), Lady Gabriella Windsor's husband, has anything to do with this.

Queen Camilla took the reins at the memorial service and tenderly looked after the widow Anne-Marie of Greece (77), while a number of British royals showed their faces: Princess Anne (73) and Timothy Laurence (68), Sarah Ferguson ( 64) and Prince Andrew (64) as well as Zara (42) and Mike Tindall (45) paid their respects to the late king.

Princess Beatrice (35) and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (40) were also present, while Princess Eugenie (33) was missing.
