Bigger, more informative, more interesting.

Even more companies and educational institutions than before are taking part in the career information evening of the Herrsching secondary school support association on Thursday, February 29th.

Herrsching - Over 80 companies and schools give career starters in Herrsching an overview of training opportunities.

It is often the trainees themselves who inform young people about professional activities at the company stands.

For the first time, the event will take place in the new, spacious triple gymnasium.

We asked the club chairwoman Beatriz Martinez Kinader what visitors can expect from the event.

The career information evening for 8th and 9th grade students is taking place for the eleventh time.

What is special about this year’s event?

We are holding the event in the new triple gym.

That makes a lot of things easier.

The companies have enough space to present themselves.

Trainees can also look over their shoulders at work and try out a lot of things themselves.

Young people find it easier to contact companies if they can communicate with trainees on an equal footing.

They can also ask you questions that you might not ask your potential boss.

For the first time, we are also offering the opportunity to get to know job profiles in addition to the companies.

In a lecture room, company representatives give short portraits of the activities carried out in a particular profession.

This is also important for the younger visitors who are looking for an internship that evening.

82 exhibitors show opportunities to start vocational training after completing secondary school, secondary school and high school.

Which areas do the providers cover?

The spectrum is particularly broad this year.

There are many internationally operating companies and many medium-sized businesses from the region that offer young people perfect conditions for starting their careers as well as many development opportunities through qualified training, good accessibility and flexible working.

We are very proud of this.

Representatives of the tourism and catering industry are present, health insurance companies, municipalities, car dealerships, companies from the electrical, electronics, plumbing, construction and trade sectors.

The police, the Bundeswehr and security technology introduce themselves, as do technical schools for business, nursing and chemistry.

The spectrum ranges from A for District Court to Z for German Aerospace Center.

How can you imagine the course of the event?

The hall with the exhibition stands is accessible from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The young people and parents go on tours, have conversations, lend a hand to workpieces and fortify themselves with snacks and drinks.

Some people will certainly take a seat in the mini excavator that a garden design company brings with them.
