It was a shooting which fortunately caused no injuries.
During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the apartment of a family residing in the 9th arrondissement of Marseille was targeted by gunfire,

learned from corroborating police sources.
The shots were fired around 10 p.m. near Colgate Avenue and near the city of Cayolle, known for harboring extensive drug trafficking.
The family, made up of a couple aged respectively 65 and 70 who were probably looking after their two small children aged 7 and 8, called the firefighters after being targeted by several gunshots.
According to a police source, a window in their apartment located on the ground floor was broken and a bullet lodged in a wall located above the family sofa.
A family “very unfavorably”
Dispatched to the site, the police noted that the facade of the building targeted by the shots was itself studded with around ten bullet holes.
Seven 9mm shell casings were found on site.
No one was injured in the shooting.

known to the authorities, probably being linked to drug trafficking
“given the context of the case”

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Bouches-du-Rhône judicial police services.
