Queen meets Prime Minister: Elisabeth Schadl met Markus Söder at the Metzger Cup.

Elisabeth Schadl, who works in the Gschwendtner butcher shop in Langenpettenbach, has been elected the ninth Bavarian Weißwurst Queen in Bodenmais.
Schadl's colleagues are super proud of the 20-year-old!

- The 20-year-old farmer's daughter lives in a two-house hamlet in the neighboring district of Aichach-Friedberg and learned the butcher's trade at the Ottilinger butcher's shop in Pöttmes.
The ambitious woman is now one of the youngest master butchers in Bavaria.
Many people know her from television: She has often been seen as part of the “Kühnhauser Klappstia” in Jürgen Kirner’s folk singer revue “Brettlspitzen”, where she likes to sing “spicy” tavern songs in this trio and also plays the guitar.
What many people don't know: Elisabeth Schadl likes sausages.
The 20-year-old loves her butchering job more than anything!
She doesn't shy away from getting up early on Mondays at 2 a.m. because it's slaughter day.
She's also at work from 5 a.m. on the other days of the week: "It's over at 2 p.m.," says the new white sausage queen.
Her favorite work in the slaughterhouse is cutting up the meat and making sausages using a variety of recipes.
Prime Minister congratulated the “Metzger Cup”
Elisabeth Schadl knows that things are bad with young people in the butcher trade, but she can't understand it.
“Even as a child, I always wanted to know how the big animals on the farms got such small sausages, like the Bavarian white sausage.” Of course, she herself loves eating the white sausage and emphasizes that this well-known Bavarian dish is, after all, a real cultural asset be.
On “Weißwurst Day” Elisabeth Schadl was chosen from among 27 applicants as the new Bavarian Weißwurst Queen by the Arberland butchers' association for a year.
She was now able to introduce herself to Prime Minister Markus Söder at the Metzger Cup in Neusäß with a crown, scepter and sash.
The fact that such a young master butcher from the district won the race was of course also a delight for the colleagues from the Langenpettenbach butcher shop and the Dachau guild master Werner Braun, who couldn't be left out of the election of the white sausage queen as deputy regional butcher's guild master.
