A truck lost an 18-ton component on the A3 between Niedernhausen and Wiesbadener Kreuz.
Delays are to be expected.

The traffic jam on the A3 between Niedernhausen and the Wiesbadener Kreuz is gradually getting shorter.
According to the ADAC, the traffic jam is now only 9 kilometers long.
However, drivers still have to be prepared for a loss of around 25 minutes.
The salvage work is still ongoing.
According to information from

, a truck had to suddenly brake between Hofheim-Wallau and Wiesbaden-Breckenheim.
The concrete part slipped from the loading area.
This is a four by five meter pipe for a cistern.
Nobody got hurt.
Mega traffic jam on the A3: 18-ton component blocks the road
First report from Wednesday, February 28th, 8:49 a.m.:
Wiesbaden - Traffic jam on the important A3 motorway: The right lane is closed between Niedernhausen and Wiesbadener Kreuz in the direction of Frankfurt.
There is also a broken truck on the hard shoulder. The police reported this on Wednesday morning.
Traffic is currently backed up for around 14 kilometers and drivers have to allow 30 to 40 minutes more time.
The reason for the closure of the right lane is that a truck lost an 18-tonne piece of concrete.
This must be rescued with a crane.
