A car landed on a track on the S4 in Puchheim on Wednesday morning.
Traffic had to be stopped.
Puchheim - At around 8:25 a.m., the federal police received information that a passenger car was crashing onto the track at the Puchheim S-Bahn stop.
An 81-year-old woman was found on site and identified herself as the driver of a small VW car, the police reported.
Gas and brake confused
According to initial investigations, she may have confused the gas and brake pedals when parking the automatic vehicle and therefore drove from the parking lot onto the track, according to the federal police.
A train was not traveling in the danger area at this time.
The fire department recovered the vehicle.
The track was not damaged.
According to the Federal Police, the disruptions to rail traffic were limited.
The route was closed for about half an hour.
The driver of the vehicle from the Fürstenfeldbruck district remained uninjured.
As a result of the incident, the federal police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous interference with rail traffic.
