In the anniversary show “Giovanni Zarrella presents: 50 years of Roland Kaiser,” Mary Roos also told a less laudable anecdote about the pop legend.
Offenburg - On February 24, 2024, the hit show “Giovanni Zarrella presents: 50 years of Roland Kaiser”, which was recorded in December 2023, was broadcast on ZDF.
Numerous stars such as Beatrice Egli (35), Maite Kelly (44) and Kim Fisher (54) were guests in the emotional broadcast for the pop legend's anniversary.
Of course, Roland Kaiser's (71) long-time good friend Mary Roos (75) couldn't be missed on this special evening.
But she made a surprising revelation.

“She is a great woman, a wonderful person,” said Roland Kaiser in a clip before the 75-year-old took the stage.
Right at the beginning, the singer tearfully remembered Roland Kaiser's serious lung disease.
Moderator Giovanni Zarrella (45) noted the “incredible bond” between the two musicians and that Mary Roos was “like a sister” to the pop singer.

Roland Kaiser could only agree and reported that they had toured together 45 years ago.
“I learned a lot from her because I was really a greenhorn,” said the pop legend.
Roos had a lot of experience and really helped him at the beginning - but she also gave him a heads up, said the 71-year-old.
And there seem to have been reasons for this, as Mary Roos directly confirmed.

“There were times when he wasn’t so nice!” said the singer, shaking her head, whereupon Kaiser had to laugh.
But the big reconciliation followed: “After a few years I met him again at the airport and then I said, 'Are you still such an ass?'” says Roos.
Roland Kaiser said “no” and the two pop stars hugged each other.

“You have to tell each other the truth and then you have to hug each other again,” explained Mary Roos.
