Nockherberg, Löwenbräu or Augustinerkeller: The strong beer festivals in Munich are more popular than ever.

But there you can not only celebrate like at the Oktoberfest, but also get rid of your money.

Munich - It used to be intended to help the monks during Lent.

Strong beer is now almost as popular in Munich as Oktoberfest.

The rush for Salvator, Triumphator and Maximator is huge this year, almost all tickets for the events are already sold out.

The high prices don't seem to bother visitors either: while you had to shell out between 12.60 and 14.90 euros per pint at the Oktoberfest in 2023, the strong beer festival is in no way inferior to these spheres.

The measure costs up to 14 euros this year.

Legendary strong beer place: the Nockherberg

The largest and most legendary strong beer place is without a doubt the Nockherberg.

From March 1st, the “Salvator” will be drunk at the strong beer festivals in Paulaner am Nockherberg.

Most of the tickets are already sold out.

The politician derblecken is also a must for Söder, Aiwanger and Co.

Anyone who wants to go to the Nockherberg despite the expensive beer prices can still secure tickets, especially during the week and on Sundays.

A table for ten people costs 180 euros.

The price includes beer tokens for ten liters, entry for three euros and the advance booking fee.

With a bit of luck you can also get a ticket at the box office; you can get a beer for 18 euros per person.

This now costs 14 euros.

The festival runs until March 24th.

A total of 90,000 partygoers are looking forward to the Oktoberfest atmosphere including a large Oktoberfest band.

The Augustiner Keller in Munich is already celebrating

The Augustiner-Keller has been celebrating since February 22nd.

For a whole month everything revolves around the strong beer called “Maximator”.

The price in particular is likely to attract people to the storage cellar and ballroom.

You can get the measure here for just 10.20 euros.

In addition, entry to the strong beer festival costs 9.95 euros per person, if you're lucky and get a place.

(By the way: Our Bayern newsletter informs you daily about all the important stories from Bavaria.)

According to the website, the ballroom is already completely sold out, but there may still be tickets available at the box office.

Things aren't looking much better in the warehouse cellar: there are only a few tickets left to reserve on selected days.

Sixth season in Munich: the Löwenbräukeller at Stiglmaierplatz

Like at Nockherberg, the strong beer season in the Löwenbräukeller begins on March 1st.

The so-called sixth season is celebrated here with the “Triumphator”.

Following the strong beer festival, which always takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and two Thursdays, there is also an “after party”.

The visitors to the Löwenbräukeller can hardly wait either.

Although demand is high, there are still a few tickets available on all days.

You can also buy a ticket for the hall on site for 13.50 euros.

For this you get a beer token.

This means that entry is free, as the beer costs 13.50 euros this year.

The other strong beer festivals in Munich

But this month it is not only celebrated in the three strong beer strongholds, but also in other parts of Munich.

The “Animator” by Hacker-Pschorr will be served at Donisl on Marienplatz from March 1st.

Paulaner’s “Salvator” is also available from a wooden barrel.

The measure costs 12.60 euros here.

The celebrations start two days earlier at the Giesinger Bräu, where the celebrations run until March 2nd.

You can enjoy the strong beer “Innovator” here for 11 euros.

In the Perlach research brewery you can choose between two strong beers: the “Jakobator” and the “Valentinator” are each available for 10.60 euros.
