The community of Putzbrunn has recognized the work of local volunteers.

She even awarded the Citizens' Medal twice.

Putzbrunn - At the volunteer reception in the fully occupied community center, Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) once again honored 30 Putzbrunners after a long Corona break.

28 each received a small gift, Georg Krypczyk and Eduard Fritz were even awarded the Citizens' Medal for their outstanding commitment.

Between braised beef, fried char or pasta in gorgonzola radicchio cream, Klostermeier honored the citizens, accompanied by music from the “Trio Aufwind”.

“Without volunteering, little would work in our society; volunteering is by no means a given,” emphasized the town hall boss.

“We have to reward those who are so committed to our society.”

The first group was the volunteer Ukraine Helpers Circle, Juliane Bollow, Petra Först, Anett Frank, Petra Fuchs, Meltem Hajek, Susanne Jakob, Oksana Pfefferkorn, Kordula Rosenberger, Rita Schmelzer and Jirina Krypczyk from Neighborhood Help.

“Two years after the start of the war in Ukraine, there is no end in sight, countless houses, apartments and entire towns have been destroyed - no one can go back.

They continue to help these refugees enormously today,” said Klostermeier.
