Another literary adaptation, that of the eponymous novel by the American Amor Towles, published in 2016, which follows the trajectory of Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov, a young aristocrat mistreated by the Bolshevik revolution.
Arrest, prison, exile, duels, forced labor, palace life, expatriation, ruin, renewal... the destiny of this man and his family, closely linked to their time, is the crucible of an epic, romantic story in devil.
It was well worth a series and a renowned headliner to play him, in this case the illustrious Ewan McGregor.
