“The prefecture will have a good laugh when they see this…” Tuesday evening, at the municipal council of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, a disgruntled elected official preferred to laugh at the chaotic management which continues to govern municipal life.
New twists and turns punctuated the council meeting.
Starting with the initiative launched by elected officials – including those in the opposition – to give back part of his powers to the mayor (DVD) Philippe Gaudin.
In November, they voted to withdraw all its delegations in the face of deep disagreements.
Result: all decisions must now be made in municipal council.
The mayor can almost no longer sign any text alone, such as the loans of rooms to associations, small orders for supplies, etc. A session takes place almost every week.
City hall officials are overwhelmed and saturated.
The municipal administration is clogged and paralyzed.
