, 76% of French people are against sending French troops to Ukraine.
This very large majority is rather homogeneous in terms of gender (77% men, 75% women), age or socio-professional category, according to the opinion survey.
Those aged 50-64 are nevertheless the most reluctant (85%) to sending French soldiers while 18-24 year olds are opposed to it at 68%, still very much so.
The right firmly opposed
This solution mentioned - but not confirmed - by the French head of state met with stronger opposition on the right, garnering 81% against.
In detail, 84% of RN voters and 76% of LR voters expressed their disagreement.
On the left, 67% of supporters of France Insoumise, 78% of those close to Europe Ecologie-Les Verts and 65% of PS supporters firmly oppose this measure.
As for the voters of Renaissance, and therefore of the president, there is still a large majority of 68% to oppose it.
Emmanuel Macron's comments were not met with enthusiasm in Europe, and even a frank disavowal from most of the Twenty-Seven of the European Union.
In France, the president was strongly criticized by all oppositions.
