One of the Internet giants is struggling.
The e-mail application of the American brand Yahoo has been the victim of a global outage since this Tuesday, February 27 in the afternoon and the situation had still not returned to normal this Wednesday at midday .
According to the DownDetector site, which lists user failure reports, France is also widely affected by this bug and many users no longer have access to their emails via the application.
A new version of the application deployed to remedy the outage
“Some users may still experience issues with Yahoo apps.
We are continuing our research and will keep you informed.
We thank you for your patience,” Yahoo responded at 6 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
After working to resolve the current outage, Yahoo published a new message on application where the bug would be fixed.
They can also clear the cache of their application, according to a procedure relayed by Yahoo.
But the deployment of the new version could take up to 24 hours, which may explain the continuation of the problem again this Wednesday morning.
An alternative fix, if you'd prefer not to uninstall/reinstall, is to clear the app cache:
Android Devices:
1) Long press the app icon.
2) Click the info icon on the top right corner to open the app settings.
3) Scroll down to the usage section and storage row, and open it.

To allow users to check their emails, the Yahoo site remains accessible and it is therefore advisable to use the website.
