Highlights: "Mount Havan Gabir is in our hands!": The election results indicate the success of the liberal camp - voila! native. The liberal camp proved in the local elections once again that it does not understand that it should lead, writes Moshe Redman Abutbul. "New Contract" brought an unprecedented achievement - out of 26 lists that ran for the various councils, 26 entered the council - in Jerusalem, Rehovot, Tel Aviv, Netanya, Petah Tikva, Herzliya.

As far as the liberal camp is concerned, the election results are very good, despite very unsatisfactory turnout: the Kahnist lists crashed almost all over the country in contrast to the liberal lists,

In a preliminary analysis of the results of the local elections, looking at the "day after" national elections - about the political leadership in the liberal-democratic camp, which proved in the local elections once again that it does not understand that it should lead, to realize that it is necessary to roll up its sleeves and get into the game more strongly. Since yesterday, we have witnessed the camp's self-flagellation The liberal, which in turn causes expressions of joy among Kahanist and ultra-Orthodox movements that the local elections indicate the failure of the protest.

This self-flagellation, which stems from the perception that the low turnout necessarily leads to success for the other side, is very far from justified. The joy, on the other hand, is very premature and not based on Nothing. In fact, the opposite is true and it can be declared - "Mount Havan Gabir is in our hands!"

Despite several losses resulting from a lack of synchronization in the camp or as a result of a late awakening such as Rehovot (where I hope there will be a second round and it will be possible to make amends), Holon (Shi Keinan is a big loss a city that could have been avoided if Moran Israel and Moti Sasson had united) and Mitzpe Ramon (a city that fell into the hands of the ultra-Orthodox), and even though the conduct of those who claim to be the "heads of the camp" and in particular Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid is a scandal that consists of zero suicides on the field, zero encouragement and zero vision Strategically - headlines such as "the protest is a defeat" that media outlets have been boasting of since last night - are meant to hide a very sad truth from their point of view.

Now for the facts as they emerged from the true results: the lists of the Kahanist parties crashed almost all over the country, even in places that are considered relatively oriented towards them: in Ramla 0.5%, in Kiryat Malachi 4.4%, in Nof HaGilil 3.6%, in Netanya 2.9% and in Petah Tikva 1.4%.

In a big city like Haifa they won 1.9% and in Tel Aviv, where "Otzma Yehudit" ran jointly with the Likud and are currently oscillating between 0 mandates and 1 mandate. Avi Maoz's "Noam" party also collapsed.

The data is still being collected and the official results are only nearing the end of the week, but it is already clear what the public's message is to the extremists.

On the other hand, "New Contract", which is a young political movement born out of the protest and I have the privilege of being a part of it, brought an unprecedented achievement - out of 26 lists that ran for the various councils, 26 entered the council - in Jerusalem, Rehovot, Tel Aviv, Netanya, Petah Tikva, Ra'anana, Herzliya, Kiryat Tivon, Rosh Ha'Ein, Hadera, Ramat Gan, Mevsheret Zion, Kfar Yona, Kadima - Zoran, Haifa, Bat Yam, Binyamina, Kiryat Bialik, Beer Sheva, Kiryat Ono, Yavneh, Zichron Ya'akov, Karmiel, Omer, Hod Hasharon and Holon.

From this point of view and compared to the results of the Kahanist lists - the latter only have to eat dust.

In a large part of the settlements, "New Contract" not only entered the council, but it is the largest list.

Another interesting fact is that the Likud party was discriminated against, with the exception of distinctly Likud cities, in the other cities the Likud was deleted from the council or candidates ran away from the brand and ran under new brands.

This fact testifies to about a thousand witnesses that the process by which Netanyahu transferred the "Likud" brand on the way to becoming a one-man party - destroyed what was once a governing alternative in almost every major city.

Among the coalition parties, it seems that the only party that got stronger is Shas, something that is reflected both in the ultra-orthodox cities and in the strengthening of its power in traditional cities.

As far as the liberal camp is concerned, the election results are excellent, despite a very unsatisfactory voter turnout. "Yesh Atid", "the camp The State Party, the Labor Party, Meretz and, of course, the New Deal, entered with very good percentages in all the cities. There is almost no city where the total of all liberal parties decreased in terms of mandates. Most of them even saw an increase. Equally important - the percentage of women in the councils increased significantly.

If you look Regarding the picture that is being created before our eyes and thinking about "the day after" in the context of national elections - the liberal camp has improved its positions and established itself in the political arena. The Likud party is turning out to be a dead brand, and in contrast to the noise and bells and whistles of the leaders of "Otzma Yehudit", their results are very limited and indicate a nationwide public sentiment who does not trust them. For the political leadership in the liberal-democratic camp, which proved in the local elections once again that it does not understand that it should lead, to realize that it is necessary to roll up its sleeves and enter the game even more strongly.
