Markus Söder treated himself to a colorful fruit breakfast.

But he angered some followers with the photo he uploaded to Instagram.

Munich - Markus Söder is Prime Minister of Bavaria and CSU boss.

But many would probably claim that the Nuremberg native is also a part-time food blogger.

Because on Instagram he regularly lets his followers take part in his lunch in the state parliament.

It's obvious that he likes meat.

Recently he even said that a life without bratwurst was possible, but pointless.

But Söder can also do things differently.

“A good start to the day: fruit gives you energy.

#söder loves eating that too (not just meat),” he wrote alongside a photo on Instagram on Wednesday, February 28th.

Grapes, raspberries, blackberries and tangerines - an actually harmless photo, but for which the CSU boss received a lot of backlash.

“The farmers who farm them so beautifully will be happy”: Malicious comments under Söder’s photo

“Who doesn’t know the regional winter berries from the Nuremberg Knoblauchsland?

The farmers who farm them so beautifully will be happy.

Meal!” someone comments ironically.

“Wow, and so regional.

“The local farmers and fruit businesses will certainly be happy,” says one man in the same vein.

“Oh Mr. Söder, first we want to support our farmers and then something like this happens,” writes a woman under the Instagram picture.

Discussions about Söder's fruit photo - "Who actually cares...?"

But many people also find positive words for Söder and his fruit photo.

"Very healthy!

“It gets you ready for the day,” someone praises.

“I think it’s great, Mr. Söder.

For me, it makes more of an impression than the constant flesh,” writes one woman.

And another person lets his anger out: “My God, not only do you get a shit storm if you eat a piece of meat, no, you are now only allowed to eat seasonal fruit and vegetables in Germany.”
