Taking the problem very seriously, the mayor of the city suggested that residents bring baseball bats against the gallinaceous birds.

The video is comical: a resident of Louisville, Quebec, faces a wild turkey blocking his way, in front of the hall of his residence.

The Quebecer tries to clap his hands to chase the animal away, in vain.

“I tried to scare him, but it didn’t work

,” Michel Turcotte told Canadian media

TVA Nouvelles

this Wednesday.

“The second time I throw snow at him.

And there, she ran after me

,” continues the resident.

In these images filmed by a neighbor this Tuesday, we see him run away and go around his car twice, the turkey hot on his heels.

“I ran pretty fast.

“She didn’t catch me but she was close to me

,” the resident says, not hiding his

“fear.”

In this town of 7,000 inhabitants north of Montreal, Michel Turcotte is not alone in having faced the hostility of these wild beasts.

Other residents expressed concern after also being chased.

Louisville Mayor Yvon Deshaies has received several complaints from citizens.

And he takes the matter very seriously.

“The claws of a turkey are a razor blade,”

he emphasizes, declaring that he contacted the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks about the situation, without answer.

While awaiting intervention from the authorities, the mayor recommends to his residents a simple and radical solution: the baseball bat.

“Tomorrow, the people of Louiseville, grab your baseball bats and it’s over,”

urges Yvon Deshaies.

“Human above all!”

, exclaims the mayor.

“I'm not against animals, not at all, but when an animal attacks man, here in Louisville, it's over.

THANKS".

To the wise...
