Following the Judith Godrèche affair

What ignited the powder was Judith Godrèche's accusation against director Benoît Jacquot.

Following the actress' revelations, the archives of a documentary by Gérard Miller dating from 2011,

The Ruses of Desire: The Forbidden

, came to light.

In an extract, we can see Benoît Jacquot expressing himself in these terms, without ever being contradicted by the psychoanalyst:

“It is necessarily a transgression, if only with regard to the law as it is said.

We don't have the right in principle.

A girl like her, like this Judith was in fact 15 years old and I was 40, I had no right.

But she didn't give a damn about that and even she was very excited about it.

Making cinema is a kind of cover, in the sense of a cover for morals of this type.”

It is the role of the media to give voice to these women and to give voice to the contradictory.”

The journalist then claims to have

“solicited Gérard Miller”

who refused to respond

“other than by email”

.

“He refutes all these accusations and speaks of consensual relationships

,” adds Élise Lucet.

“The role of these reports is to send the signal that we can attack well-known people

,” the journalist then asserts.

“There is a legal limitation period, but no media limitation period

,” adds Ava Djamshidi.
