Some residents did not wait for the question-and-answer session to question the mayor of Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis), creating a hubbub which sometimes annoyed their neighbors who came to attend the public meeting on the urban renovation of the Îlot 27 organized Wednesday February 28 in the evening.
Almost imperturbable, Bertrand Kern (PS) carried out his presentation, nevertheless ending up losing his nerve somewhat when a local resident criticized him for living in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
“It’s unacceptable to hear things like that, I’ve been a puppeteer for forty years!”
» protested the elected official, going so far as to give his address.
The atmosphere of the meeting, which lasted two hours, was at times electric.
It is true that many residents had met to share their grievances with the first councilor, notably those of 31, rue Auger, who have been fighting for almost a year against the destruction of their building.
This Wednesday evening, the mayor approved this upcoming demolition.
