The police have arrested a suspect after the attack on the New Palace in Stuttgart.
The 39-year-old was arrested on Saturday night after he tampered with the castle's windows again, the police said on Thursday.
Because he was in an exceptional psychological state, he was initially taken to a psychiatric clinic, said a police spokeswoman.
Stuttgart - After he was released there on Wednesday, an arrest warrant was requested.
The suspect has been in custody since Thursday.
On Friday night, 15 windows were broken in the New Palace in Stuttgart.
A politically motivated act could not initially be ruled out, but there was no evidence of a political background, according to the police.
The amount of damage caused is therefore around 20,000 euros.
Among other things, the Ministry of Finance of Baden-Württemberg is located in the New Palace.
That's why the state security agency started investigating.
The baroque building, in which dukes and kings resided, was completed in 1807.
