Seven other texts will be on the menu of this
“parliamentary niche”
, including one aiming to
“protect the editorial freedom of the media”
, another to delete the criticized article 49.3 of the Constitution and several to protect the environment.
They
“provide solutions to vital issues
,” argued the president of the environmental group, Cyrielle Chatelain, without specifying their order of registration.
A classification which is important, the
“niches”
being interrupted at midnight regardless of the progress of the examination of the texts.
A text which provides for the presence of producers during commercial negotiations
If Emmanuel Macron spoke out during the Agricultural Show for minimum agricultural prices,
“we cannot leave this subject fallow for months and months
,” said MP Marie Pochon.
It will include
“a public sector conference mechanism”
allowing producers to be represented during commercial negotiations, she detailed.
The objective is to
“fix a minimum purchase price for agricultural products which necessarily includes the cost of production and the remuneration of peasant labor, at a minimum of 1.5 or even 2 SMIC”
.
The text also provides for the creation of a
“transition fund”
to support farmers.
MP Sophie Taillé-Polian will, for her part, defend the creation of a
“right of approval”
for journalists
“on the appointment of the editorial director”
.
A media outlet that does not have this system would not be able to receive public aid.
And this conditionality would also concern companies requesting a DTT channel, if they broadcast information programs.
A constitutional revision proposal will be put forward by MP Jérémie Iordanoff, in particular to remove the criticized article 49.3 of the Constitution allowing the government to pass a text without a vote in the Assembly, unless a motion of censure is adopted.
Fossil fuels at the heart of the text
On the environmental side, MP Nicolas Thierry will defend a ban on products containing eternal pollutants (PFAS), from 2025 when alternatives are already available and in 2027 for others.
Cyrielle Chatelain will be rapporteur for a text asking to
“stop bank investment in fossil fuels”
and Julie Laernoes for a proposal for new energy programming objectives.
The creation of a work stoppage for
“incapacitating menstruation lasting up to 13 days per year”
will also be defended by MP Sébastien Peytavie.
