Marion Maréchal, head of the Reconquest party list for the European elections, was doused with beer while she visited the Agricultural Show this Wednesday.
In a video, originally broadcast by a CNews journalist, then deleted, but taken up by other accounts, we can see the vice-president of Eric Zemmour's party receiving beer on the head while she wanders through the aisles of the Porte de Versailles exhibition center in Paris.

“More beer than harm”
Philippe Vardon, elected Reconquête in Nice, confirmed the scene on
Jordan Florentin, reporter for the far-right news site Boulevard Voltaire, also confirms the incident on social networks, “minimized by the candidate's team”.
“It was a clearly drunk man who wanted to make himself interesting,” explained the candidate’s entourage to AFP.

A few minutes after the incident, the head of the Reconquête list published a video to thank the people met at the Agricultural Show.

The CNews article, entitled “2024 Agricultural Show: images of Marion Maréchal doused in beer” is no longer online.
And the channel's messages posted on X have since been deleted without the channel specifying why.
Support from elected officials
Jordan Bardella, head of the National Rally list for the June 9 election, supported Marine Le Pen's niece on X: “Violence has no place in the political debate: I hope that each of the candidates "Europeans can campaign with respect", he wrote, denouncing an "aggression".

The socialist deputy Jérôme Guedj also supported the Reconquest candidate.

In full anger of the agricultural sector, Marion Maréchal increases the number of trips to farmers in this campaign for the Europeans.
Last week, she came to meet the farmers who were demonstrating in Paris before the opening of the Agricultural Show, which she was visiting this Thursday.
In the morning she met breeders from Gascony, taking advantage of the moment to reiterate her opposition to “floor prices”, an “idea out of Emmanuel Macron’s hat” which she considers “totally demagogic and unrealistic”.
